The application which gathers data for this site is open-source and as such is free to download. The source code will be available here soon. Data can be saved locally on a laptop in the field for later download, or, when used with a wireless internet card, can be sent to a designated website for storage and further processing. DeerPickup.com can support the application and store and process the data if desired. You may also download and install the application and use it with your own website or a local database. We can provide you with any form of support needed for this application. Please feel free to contact us for information on how we can work together to gather and maintain accurate deer vehicle collision data.

In addition to data collection and storage, this web site will is designed for users to request carcass removals and track the results. A registered user can login to this site and request a removal, the request will be issued an id and sent to the vendor for the area where the removal is to take place. When the removal is completed the field worker will enter the request id into the field application to complete the removal. If the laptop in the field has a wireless internet card, the removal will update the database in real time and the request will be updated to indicate that the removal is complete. Otherwise, the removal completion will be noted the next time the data from the field laptop is sent to the central database. Users may create new removal request, edit existing requests, and list out existing requests. Users who have contracted with the vendor for removal services will also be able to list out a bill for the month to date and, at the end of a billing cycle, be able to get their bill online. Please contact us if you would need other services.
